    Programme for Lent 2007 in Ta' Pinu Sanctuary
    Meditation for Lent

    Following Mary's example, let us during this lent: "Celebrate the Word of the Lord and meditate about it". Every Wednesday during Lent, in Ta' Pinu Sanctuary, moments of meditation on the Word of the Lord are going to be held. These will be followed by the Adoration of the Eucharistic Sacrament. Choose the most convenient one for you and come and hear the Word of the Lord in the sanctuary.

    • The Way of the Cross on the hill in front of the Sanctuary

    During every Sunday of Lent, a priest will lead meditations on the Way of the Cross in front of the statues of the Way of the Cross which are found in the hill in front of the Sanctuary. These meditations start at 3.30pm.

    Palm Sunday
    Date: Sunday 1 st April, 2007
    6.00pm - Celebration of Jesus' entrance in Jerusalem
    7.00pm - The Way of the Cross on t'Ghammar hill
    This meditation of the Way of the Cross will be led by H.E. Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop for Gozo. For those persons who will not be able to climb the hill, there will be special arragements for them to be able to follow this meditation from the parking lot of Ta Pinu Sanctuary. Moreover, this meditation will be broadcast on Radio RTK 103FM, and Radio Marija 102.3FM and 107.8 FM.
    Maudy Thursday
    Date: Thursday 5 th April, 2007
    6.00pm - the Celebration of Jesus' Last Supper led by H.E. Mgr Isqof Nikol G. Cauchi.
    8.00pm - the Visits to Altars
    Good Friday
    Date: Friday 6 th April, 2007
    6.00am - The Way of the Cross on T'Ghammar hill led by various youth groups from different parishes around Gozo.
    3.30pm - Celebration of the Passion and Death of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
    The Hour of Our Lady
    Date: Saturday 7 th April, 2007
    Time: 9.00am
    The church congregates within Mary's heart which although is sufferring, is waiting eagerly for the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This celebration will be lead by H.E. Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop for Gozo.
    Easter Saturday
    Date: Saturday 7 th April, 2007
    Time: 8.30pm
    This is the most important night in the Christian's life. Therefore, the Christian should continue praying until the Resurrection from Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and then celebration the feast of Easter, the Eurcharistic Sacrament, with him.
    Easter Sunday:
    Date: Sunday 8th April, 2007
    Celebration of Mass: 6.15am, 8.30am, 10.00am, 11.15am, 5.00pm
    The Choral Animation during all the celebration of the Holy Week will be led by the Choir Jubilate.
