On Wednesday 21st November, the President of Malta, Edward Fenech Adami made an official visit to Ta' Pinu Sanctuary where he made a few moments of prayer in the chapel of Our Lady. Then he admired the paintings of Emvin Cremona which are currently being restored thanks to the sponsorship of BOV. He was accompanied by the mayor of Gharb, Mr David Apap Agius and his personnel.
The rector of the sanctuary, Fr Gerard Buhagiar is shown in the photos below explaining to the president the current status of the restoration work being done by the Gozitan restorer, Mr Godwin Cutajar. This paintings will be exhibted in the sacristy of the sanctuary. Currently this sacristy is being renovated to be able to hold the 20 paintings by Cremona.
